Kosmulla Kanda Panoramic Trail

Kosmulla Kanda is the premier viewpoint in the Deniyaya-Lankagama region. At approximately 550 meters elevation, this grassy summit rises dramatically above the surrounding rainforest canopy, revealing an endless panorama of rolling green mountains.

On clear mornings, you can see all the way to the southern coastline shimmering on the horizon, with the entire Sinharaja ridgeline stretching majestically to the east and west. The summit meadow is carpeted with wild grasslands and dotted with wind-shaped tea bushes.

The hike up is invigorating but not strenuous, winding through organic tea plantations and patches of secondary forest alive with butterflies and dragonflies. It's the perfect sunrise or sunset excursion for guests who love dramatic landscapes.
